Wednesday, July 15, 2009 – Factoring the Hard Trinomial by Decomposition

I define the “hard” trinomial as a trinomial in the form of ax^2 + bx + c, where a ≠ 1 and “a” is not a factor of BOTH “b” and “c”.  There are many ways to do this, I will show you two methods (a) decomposition, 2 videos, this week and (b) triple play, 2 videos, which I will show you next week.  Enjoy the two videos below:
