I am building a dome over top of my hot tub. I need to cut out some triangles from a sheet of plywood, and I want to make life easier for myself by making as few cuts as possible, and working with smaller parts of the sheet of plywood as often as possible. I needed to work out a measurement, and along came the Law of the Cosines to help me.
